Is There an Inscryption Board Game?
Not from the publisher. In October 2023 Wargamer reported a two-player handmade set by Nathan Hockridge under the name CrypticCrafter, priced at $290, also quoted as $448 AUD and £239. The maker’s shop still lists an Inscryption box, cards, a Kaycee expansion, a mat, and a wooden scale. I could not read a live price on 4 Nov 2026 because the product feed was rate-limited, so I am not inventing today’s number.
What you would be buying
It is a physical object from a maker, for two players, with a rulebook those listings mention. It is not on the official site’s store row, and it is not the video game. “Board game rules” searches want that maker’s booklet, not a rewrite of Act I. I am not hosting the booklet.
If the shop is out of stock, I will not point you at an auction. The $290 figure is the 2023 report. Treat it as history until the product page prints a new one.
FAQ
Is the board game official?
No. It is a CrypticCrafter set, not a Devolver product.
How much was it?
Wargamer reported $290 in October 2023. I do not have a 4 Nov 2026 price.
